IYT offers career placement services to its students and its partner school students free of charge. The minimum requirement for candidates to be able to embark on a challenging career in the exciting world of the Megayacht is the completion of a 5 day STCW 95 basic safety course, although for those with little or no yachting experience we would also recommend considering further courses, such as the 4 day MegaYacht Crew course. 

There is currently a world shortage of suitably qualified personnel.
Career opportunities are available for both male and female candidates.

In 2005 there were 14 miles of new yachts (over 80 feet or 24 meters) under construction in 25 different countries throughout the world. Positions are available for Deckhands, Bosuns, Mates, Captains, Engineers, Stewardesses and Chefs. It is estimated that 4,200 new crew will be required to fill these positions throughout 2006.

International Yachtmaster Training (IYT) is based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and is the only company in the world that specializes exclusively in the training and placement of Megayacht crew. Many of the world’s finest, most luxurious yachts are crewed by IYT graduates.
